Mini for Father's Day.

I did a fun little mini for Father's Day that I "metalized" and made masculine with great tones of tans, black's, creams and a touch of green.
( although it does have a flower or two....wink)
It was easy to make and fun to put together.
I'll have a video soon....and one for Mother's Day!
Thanks so much for stopping by.

Scraps.......

We all have them....but really...what do you do to organize them?
I mean "really" organize them?.....I can't ever seem to find just exactly what I am looking for......but yet they abound and seem to grow daily in my room...LOL
Then I found this on Pinterest....(I think) .....and I thought it was a super good idea....can't wait to make these myself and add them to my craft room.....which by the way....after the move is stuffed full....but....I will be creating soon....and have just wanted so bad to get in there and start playing with paper again...:o)
So here is someone's wisdom in sorting scraps that you can easily find and keep more organzised than certainly mine are......;o)

I thought it would even be good to sort them in solids and patterns....but maybe after I get this going that wouldn't be neccessary....this might just do the trick....
Helpful hints....gotta love them!

All is bright........

and MME came out with this fabulous aqua, red, tan and cream Christmas line and I LOVED IT!
Of course it has birds on it which makes it even better.....(wink)....and so I added some black....
(what a shocker huh?)....and started what is to be my first class of 2013.....WOW...that was strange to say.......it is a 6X12 distressed chipboard mini...and it's going to be so much fun to do!
So little students of mine.....keep "fussy" cutting and I'll see you shortly after the new year.....:o)

Here's a little peek at the cover and a couple of pages.......o)

Finally......

both the chairs are DONE!!!!
They look a bit black and white in this photo but they really aren't. They are tan and black and I am thrilled that they are done.....:o)
Another very happy surprise is that my Annie Sloan Chalk Paint came yesterday
and I can not WAIT to use it and get a table done that I purchased from a repurposed store in Boise last month. I have contemplated about using other paints as it was very hard to find a supplier that was even somewhat close to me and then I found one in Montana that just happen to be waiting to get their shipment from Europe/France and it finally arrived!!!! So excited.....will post soon on the before and after...should be interesting to use...let's hope it is as fantastic as they say it is....:o) Anyone out there using it or has used it, I would appreciate your comments on it....any tricks to the trade?...helpful hints?...
Have the best this Tuesday has to offer......and a warm and joyous week....:o)

OMGOSHES.....

I never seen to have enough time in one day......who's right there with me?

So.....catching you up......we are packing furiously to move before the snowfall...yeah right...like that's going to happen....LOL   Well I can dream can't I?

But in between here and there and every where....I came across a fabulous find on Craig's List.....and bought this chair for a really, really great price!  Wish I had a before and after....but this is the after....:o)

It was amazing to find this fabric as I have looked and looked for it and just happen to find it at Handcock Fabric in Boise, which I never go to....on sale for half off....yeppers 10.50 a yard!!! Bought some extra yardage as you never know when you might need more for pillows, an ottoman...who knows...but pleased as a peach that it worked out so well on this chair......:o)
I love repurposing things....and have seen abounding talents on blogs and Pinterest of people doing all kinds of amazing projects.....who knew we would be the generation to "redo" and "reuse"....:o)
Have a wonderful Tuesday and thanks for stopping by.

Pumpkins pleasures....................

With the fall air here in Idaho wrapping around us in the early mornings and lengthening our nights with just a slight crack of the window.....which makes for fabulous sleeping.....I have been back to my thoughts of remembering carving those Halloween Pumpkins with my sweet little daughter all dressed up in her Halloween outfit.
But looking through the net waves for the past few days....I have come across some incedible pumpkins that have great creativeness and Halloween spirit. Much different than those I carved when I was a child.

So enjoy them this morning....and remember with warmth...your carved pumpkins and that great  pleasure of picking out just the right one.....;o)

These pumpkins are very different than what I use to see.....but isn't it wonderfully fun that someone has taken it to the next level and done these amazing designs or taken them "into" an amazing design? All in all there are many varieties and many things people come up with to enhance a simple pumpkin......who would have thought of "blue" pumpkins? Or putting women's stockings around them them to add shape and interest.....painting?.....sculpting?....or a mask and a spider crown?....Isn't is fun and interesting to see how far pumpkins have come......I love them all...and commend their talented pumpkin creators....what a delightful way to spend a fall morning....with such talent-ly enhanced gourdes!
Thanks for stopping by.....enjoy your day.
