<br /></div>
has seem to sweep right by me...my my how time changes and takes us into a new year and new endings....new beginnings....which I try to keep the endings close to heart.....but cherish the new beginnings....after all......if we are allowed new beginnings.....we need to except them, breathe deep and run with them.<br />
As all of you have experienced.....loss has been a part of my 2017. My beloved little Bentley died in September...only a few days away from his tenth birthday. He was such a sweet, dear soul.....I had to make the decision to allow him over the bridge....was the hardest thing to do ever.....but he needed to be out of pain and at peace....I have missed him so.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-UseIXjhZczA/WoXa9Hz3Q4I/AAAAAAAACig/TU4Bm_87m2gVOD-mzinOap0pzl_bSWFsACKgBGAs/s1600/Bentley%2B20.bmp" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="360" data-original-width="480" height="300" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-UseIXjhZczA/WoXa9Hz3Q4I/AAAAAAAACig/TU4Bm_87m2gVOD-mzinOap0pzl_bSWFsACKgBGAs/s400/Bentley%2B20.bmp" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My mother who was 85 fell and was in ICU for several days and I was so tired after dealing with this, which was my own fault......just spent a lot of time there and did not take care of myself, came home and slipped and fell in my home that weekend and broke my hip. But had a wonderful surgeon and am feeling great days after surgery. Truly, I’ll be riding bikes and walking as soon as the weather breaks.....I have a sweet hubby, he stayed with me for a week after I got released from the hospital.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My mother died of the complications of her fall on December 14th. I had just spent time with her at rehab and we laughed, had a few tears of frustration on her part and had just left her when I had gotten home and they asked me to return. </div>
She died peacefully and quickly and that is what she would have wanted.....she was just getting into Alzheimer’s. So although it was a hard time for me, for her and myself, her wish had come true. We should all be so lucky, I was truly glad she did not suffer.<br />
When all this was going on.....we chose to get another sweet baby that was being nannied to us from Oregon a week later. Already committed, Brinkley arrived scared to death of everything and everyone. We had the best lap nanny ever.....and he arrived in her arms safe and sound. He’s been a challenge to get to trust us but after him being with me for a week more of recovery and exercising around the house.....he is my constant companion and I adore this little guy. He is mellow and very different from our sweet Bentley.....but he is loved and so cherished. I am soooooo glad we have him.<br />
<br />
<br />
Christmas went well....my Gbabies had a great time this year....they are 5 and 1/2 and Christmas was way fun. It is amazing how fast they grow but then again so did my daughter. All parents think that. Where does time go in those very early years. Next year kindergarten....whew!<br />
<br />
Life is good at the Squires house hold. The hubby continues to work hard but he loves his job and I am forever grateful for that. Brinkley is asleep on my lap as I post and the day is warming up with the brilliance of the sun. I have had the “crud” for about a month but actually today feel quite a bit better.<br />
I would like to leave 2017 behind me.....but I also know that life gives us all kinds of advantages and challenges. My dear friend Donna lost her beloved hubby that when she met at 14 she knew she would marry and they did. Right after she graduated HS. They had been married 41 years and she’s 58. He was a gentle soul and so loved her, told the world he did before he passed. It was so hard to loose him but his legacy lives on in such a gallant way of gentlemanship, of how he loved his wife so much and respected her so much. I was honored to call him a friend.<br />
<br />
So life changes quickly around us everyday and it is how we except and go forward with those changes and challenges that make us the person we are. I am blessed by nearly three years being cancer free. I will be creating and leaving things here as I do. Life is settling down and I am ready to be so much more creative. I hope you have found whatever give you passionate and clearness of your days. Laugh, giggle sit down and have a cup of something you love. Enjoy the sun, the upcoming spring and the colors the earth will turn. Be creative, scower Pinterest....LOL and paint some furniture! Be happy and healthy of body, mind and spirit.<br />
<br />

I moved my 85 year old mother out of a house she has lived in for 53 years. It sold fairly easily, closed quickly, got her a very nice assisted living....independent living facility very near my home......and she hates it.....change is hard....and I totally understand that.....but blaming someone all the time for your own life changes and abilities to handle those changes .....and live on your own.....has been.shall we just say......an adjustment for her. She seems to be settling in a bit after three months of blame and shame.....I have always said....change happens all around us everyday of our lives.....it is how we deal with those changes that makes us the person that we are.....so after many hospital ER stays in a short time.....making her try to feel welcomed and adjusted.....the past few months have been crazy and hectic to say the least.......BUT........<br />
Today....I have received a cold.....and I have slowed down.....coughing, hacking....just a cold...it just hit me hard.....<br />
I have stayed down today......curled up watching the tube.....gosh do people still call it that...LOLOLOL....and sipping something hot and steamy.....my sweet hubby brought me lunch.....and I have done nothing!.....but I have been on Pinterest......what a shocker!...LOLOL....how better else to spend the day....curled up in a soft blanket with my IPad......so hang I there for me....I'll be posting soon!<br />
Stay safe and warm........and thanks for stopping by.......<br />

<br />
So adding that I vowed to use "scraps" this week while designing anything and everything....I used a ton of bits and pieces on this layout.....enjoy the week coming.....and make something to add smiles to ones that you love........scrapping is such a genuine memory that will linger for many, many years to come.....they grow so fast and stay little for only a short time......capture those simple moments just like I did.....on my Gbabies very first Carousel ride.....he will never have another first to "Slay a Dragon"....enjoy the colors of your life. Thanks for stopping by.........<br />

They are twins but very opposite in personalities.....they show lovingness and companionship with each other often.<br />
<br />
So yesterday and today I got to take advantage of some beautifully taken photo's of my little sweeties for their Fourth Birthday shoot. <br />
<br />
With my Grandson being still very young I decided to add some florals to his layout but did so with a mesh ribbon of open burlap, died green to make his a bit "less" flowery and added a few buttons.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-rXEnLXi9cuw/WToYEUVzIUI/AAAAAAAAChI/EUDQ32EAWF4b8g0wPItnyCqegJ_A5IvIwCEw/s1600/1b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="480" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-rXEnLXi9cuw/WToYEUVzIUI/AAAAAAAAChI/EUDQ32EAWF4b8g0wPItnyCqegJ_A5IvIwCEw/s640/1b.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
Then adding more blues and greens it all came together well and ended up a sweet layout for our little guy. He is a sweetheart of a kiddo....with such a personality of gentleness and yet there are "snips and snails and puppy dog tails." in his life.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-FDFNUpNi6b4/WToYEXz-BuI/AAAAAAAAChI/N32PIyvVHa4ACQtVEtq-L5XliGibQKtRwCEw/s1600/2b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="480" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-FDFNUpNi6b4/WToYEXz-BuI/AAAAAAAAChI/N32PIyvVHa4ACQtVEtq-L5XliGibQKtRwCEw/s640/2b.jpg" width="480" /></a><a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-1FbVOmWk8iI/WToYG2Fe4fI/AAAAAAAAChI/jjRNSVu48YcIqRb1jtUcRYKX-cD50hV1QCEw/s1600/9.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="480" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-1FbVOmWk8iI/WToYG2Fe4fI/AAAAAAAAChI/jjRNSVu48YcIqRb1jtUcRYKX-cD50hV1QCEw/s640/9.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
On my Granddaughter's I added a few more flowers and girlie things.....and it was fun and colorful but all blended together.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-QzT8fgRRxxE/WToYFv0iU7I/AAAAAAAAChI/FAoTR-CG_LE7vkIXX-FKx1GjKzvW5enLACEw/s1600/4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="480" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-QzT8fgRRxxE/WToYFv0iU7I/AAAAAAAAChI/FAoTR-CG_LE7vkIXX-FKx1GjKzvW5enLACEw/s640/4.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-gpmBrwfMdo8/WToYF-zpnPI/AAAAAAAAChI/XNajEtSQ67wgeQek_M-yN_g_jn-m8PvjwCEw/s1600/6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="480" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-gpmBrwfMdo8/WToYF-zpnPI/AAAAAAAAChI/XNajEtSQ67wgeQek_M-yN_g_jn-m8PvjwCEw/s640/6.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
It's always fun to scrap these two........I look forward to catching up on some layouts of these little guys with their 5th birthday right around the corner!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZD4dqR3qN2I/WToYFJgsT-I/AAAAAAAAChI/n90J4u_vQG0iemDVKhSTE6HAb_KjTiqCwCEw/s1600/5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="480" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZD4dqR3qN2I/WToYFJgsT-I/AAAAAAAAChI/n90J4u_vQG0iemDVKhSTE6HAb_KjTiqCwCEw/s640/5.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>

Scrap those photos.......dedicated to those of a generation that will simply remember that we cared so much to take time to do so. It's such a pleasure to be able to do this........remember how much fun they will find in looking at them and passing them down from generation to generation.....life left behind......... tailored to bring them smiles........ with remembering great times..........that come and go so quickly.<br />
<br />
Enjoy your week.....treasure the ones you love and cherish the memories you are making for them.<br />

for the perfect Settee......I have went around and around thinking to myself what if.....no that's not quite right......but I LOVE the look of this....the fabric is fabulous....but not my color.....but the "frame".....OHMYSTARS....the frame is delicious! Recovered in my blacks, red and wood tones....it would be just plain yummy and would fit right in to my home. I could imagine my friends sitting here having an iced tea and we plotting out next adventure. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-3-QfAnHA2Jc/WTXUjbIbdnI/AAAAAAAACgE/RGmROSWzZhodlTXmmDddNVrQNvedjA-JgCLcB/s1600/8bc59dd6abf580e89b1649ac9c38932d.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="378" data-original-width="564" height="428" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-3-QfAnHA2Jc/WTXUjbIbdnI/AAAAAAAACgE/RGmROSWzZhodlTXmmDddNVrQNvedjA-JgCLcB/s640/8bc59dd6abf580e89b1649ac9c38932d.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
Then I think....no no no.....I need a bench....a real bench....but a warm and inviting one.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-cQe5kI07akk/WTXV8V26UqI/AAAAAAAACgI/7dpAg96-83ky1Vq21T6lt8CvMJQuuo1SwCLcB/s1600/61da1d02cd9d91ea3ac47992ede6fc28.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="633" data-original-width="564" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-cQe5kI07akk/WTXV8V26UqI/AAAAAAAACgI/7dpAg96-83ky1Vq21T6lt8CvMJQuuo1SwCLcB/s640/61da1d02cd9d91ea3ac47992ede6fc28.jpg" width="570" /></a></div>
But the only place I have ever come across anything like this was at "Sweet Salvage" in Phoenix, AZ. And just how I would get it home....ummm...no there's another problem.<br />
<br />
Sooooooooo..........something simple like this could work.....great lines....great seating.....comfy. I know where to get this and I love the "wing back" appearance....but no....its just not "right."<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ve4jQvyLz4s/WTXWcYIg20I/AAAAAAAACgM/tTyZkr3cd_MED7HjKRmUJDVQ3RERcuyhQCLcB/s1600/7754128ccb0e2c40f79d91872d0d0606.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="375" data-original-width="564" height="424" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ve4jQvyLz4s/WTXWcYIg20I/AAAAAAAACgM/tTyZkr3cd_MED7HjKRmUJDVQ3RERcuyhQCLcB/s640/7754128ccb0e2c40f79d91872d0d0606.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
But then I always go back to something less "structured".........ah yes...the first one.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-3-QfAnHA2Jc/WTXUjbIbdnI/AAAAAAAACgE/Pvcd9sRU-bU-cKWYA0-6YNXwm5C2_thvQCEw/s1600/8bc59dd6abf580e89b1649ac9c38932d.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="378" data-original-width="564" height="428" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-3-QfAnHA2Jc/WTXUjbIbdnI/AAAAAAAACgE/Pvcd9sRU-bU-cKWYA0-6YNXwm5C2_thvQCEw/s640/8bc59dd6abf580e89b1649ac9c38932d.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I think when you design and play and except change with validly....it is hard to make a decision on a specific style. Although my home blends and sees suttle changes in simple things as small tables, chairs , florals, pillows, fabrics and antiquities.....my basic pieces have stayed them same. <br />
<br />
But what I tell my clients most often is to "play" and look for those small changes that can give your home a complimentary "adjustment.". Mix up your art, prints or collections. Gather them into a new surrounding.....a new cabinet you've had your eye on....a piece long overdue for a change of color.....a taste of paint. Mix it up...."un-match" it up....move it around....color up for accents....breathe in calmness with blending your colors....all is acceptable.....all is just plain good. <br />
<br />
Whatever makes your home.....warm and inviting to you.....your friends and family. I think it should always give you warmth and comfort and allow you laughter and loudness.... peace, quietness and solace......now there my friends.....is good design.<br />

<br />
This spring however.....we have loved it.<br />
And mostly every year.....being only in our home for three years...and two of them blocked out with something that kept us from doing as we have wanted......did not allow us to tend our flower beds and gardens the way we would have liked.<br />
<br />
But this year......oh my stars......it is surely very different! Thank you Mother Nature for a beautiful spring!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-7njppsGmmhg/WSdBchs33yI/AAAAAAAACfc/SrnKNMExsZ43i04BBUlOLjP0qyS5bUa2QCLcB/s1600/1pic.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="480" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-7njppsGmmhg/WSdBchs33yI/AAAAAAAACfc/SrnKNMExsZ43i04BBUlOLjP0qyS5bUa2QCLcB/s640/1pic.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
I was so happy to have had our stream beds in for a couple years and just fine tuned them last year....made all the difference....this year! Things have grown and crowned and fallen over the edges and its so pleasing to our eyes.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-pk7z3-CavrY/WSdB2vsB3RI/AAAAAAAACfg/u4IRtRw8tAEnGIsMVceP_wUR_xb5wq9MgCLcB/s1600/121.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="480" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-pk7z3-CavrY/WSdB2vsB3RI/AAAAAAAACfg/u4IRtRw8tAEnGIsMVceP_wUR_xb5wq9MgCLcB/s640/121.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
It is nice how the walkway beds have filled in.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vRwTyOASFUo/WSdCM5gzqvI/AAAAAAAACfk/wSEMBBNc45IhUOIXAdk_WxMEYvffcW9wwCLcB/s1600/IMG_2905.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="640" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vRwTyOASFUo/WSdCM5gzqvI/AAAAAAAACfk/wSEMBBNc45IhUOIXAdk_WxMEYvffcW9wwCLcB/s640/IMG_2905.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
Our Azaleas have bloomed well this year.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-MPHj1ePk5uA/WSdCdLXVg6I/AAAAAAAACfo/yQie6tM2YA4QKlpksfzl2egWt_BA6OFtgCLcB/s1600/IMG_2906.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="640" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-MPHj1ePk5uA/WSdCdLXVg6I/AAAAAAAACfo/yQie6tM2YA4QKlpksfzl2egWt_BA6OFtgCLcB/s640/IMG_2906.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
And our "creepers" are creeping and our simple flowers are dancing!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-wIxPQ-jIzrA/WSdDsi8wrRI/AAAAAAAACf0/scUpg-LxOVkt5Iwlp6Rnj5av87ONO_1SACLcB/s1600/10124.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="480" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-wIxPQ-jIzrA/WSdDsi8wrRI/AAAAAAAACf0/scUpg-LxOVkt5Iwlp6Rnj5av87ONO_1SACLcB/s640/10124.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The hub and I really wanted to do an "English Garden" setting for everything.....and it's finally filling in to give us that look.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-MNA2rw8VmXk/WSdCvHZHD5I/AAAAAAAACfs/w9DSCiXpye4dWAbZbaojjS2zJuH-Z6uSwCLcB/s1600/IMG_2908.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="640" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-MNA2rw8VmXk/WSdCvHZHD5I/AAAAAAAACfs/w9DSCiXpye4dWAbZbaojjS2zJuH-Z6uSwCLcB/s640/IMG_2908.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
So this "Love/Hate" relationship I have had trying to get these plants to fill in and grow....just needed me to be more patient and understanding that soil and sun.....work well together....and gathered together with some TLC works wonders........it is so fun to have so much color to gaze upon everyday.<br />
<br />
Enjoy your weekend all...be ever so careful if traveling and enjoy your "three-dayer."Jannhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16987426986739934729noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8754861876694380856.post-4234218640422960792017-05-09T16:23:00.000-07:002017-05-09T16:23:45.080-07:00Tuesday's RED......I have had quite a few clients approach me to "add" some spring color to their homes. I truly think the long spring we have had here in Idaho has given everyone a "spring-fever-bug" to get their homes changed up a bit with some added color...and most requested seems to be red.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-aakfFTKjjzM/WRJJ0AYq-UI/AAAAAAAACe0/5LdLT497xhESz34FQ2XOpOYh5bIZQ8AegCLcB/s1600/bc8ad14a98810c8fa2fb3f1d2aa50cba.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-aakfFTKjjzM/WRJJ0AYq-UI/AAAAAAAACe0/5LdLT497xhESz34FQ2XOpOYh5bIZQ8AegCLcB/s640/bc8ad14a98810c8fa2fb3f1d2aa50cba.jpg" width="600" /></a></div>
This is one of my most favorite dining niche's. I love the wings....the dining chairs and the settee near the windows. Look at how this brightens up the area.....and still soothes the eye and mind. It's a bit of color I have to admit....but still with all the patterns and textures it is fabulous but look at the "tones"...they are so similar. This whole house from what you can see in this photo is beautiful. I am sure the owner is a happy camper living here.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-xuej6tagpak/WRJK1ZAUqBI/AAAAAAAACe8/ZJ2akleLSmAdENG7fSmaBp7YZVD6KbeBwCLcB/s1600/bd1fc3212299b1c4f4a0c8ecf500c5a4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-xuej6tagpak/WRJK1ZAUqBI/AAAAAAAACe8/ZJ2akleLSmAdENG7fSmaBp7YZVD6KbeBwCLcB/s640/bd1fc3212299b1c4f4a0c8ecf500c5a4.jpg" width="500" /></a></div>
<br />
This bedroom expressed the same...different patterns in red. But its a warm and comfy mix. I love this as well. Who wouldn't love a bedroom that encases you and offers you calmness yet gives you such fluid design and calmness.....And....BTW....get a load of that mirror!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-iWiolisdqRs/WRJLYwci-fI/AAAAAAAACfE/oF4Nssps3mc17XecUrcxEvfMZhASJxNggCLcB/s1600/b2a9d4cccf44d157e10afbaa6ae83e88.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-iWiolisdqRs/WRJLYwci-fI/AAAAAAAACfE/oF4Nssps3mc17XecUrcxEvfMZhASJxNggCLcB/s640/b2a9d4cccf44d157e10afbaa6ae83e88.jpg" width="440" /></a></div>
And once again....here's just a hint of red. Faded stripes and florals adding so much awareness to this soft porch and wicker settee. I love tulips that bend and bow in their container. Isn't this beautiful how the greens and white and red all blend in together?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-1NgKx9W6dbg/WRJMOGt-sQI/AAAAAAAACfM/YBWB5n67DOoT2N6en2DyKw45im0yTPbXwCLcB/s1600/969da88d343c09d8267348cb6458f557.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-1NgKx9W6dbg/WRJMOGt-sQI/AAAAAAAACfM/YBWB5n67DOoT2N6en2DyKw45im0yTPbXwCLcB/s640/969da88d343c09d8267348cb6458f557.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
But let's not forget just the "hint" of red to make this entry table seem dramatic and of depth. <br />
Seeing.....red....it can be "outstanding and brilliant" or just as suttle as faded stripe and tulips past their prime. Whatever part of red you prefer.....add some to your spring and brighten up your home from this long awaited summer. Idaho is beautiful right now....with this long spring we have had.....the earth is bursting with color.....add a bit to your home and "feel" the change from seasons.Jannhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16987426986739934729noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8754861876694380856.post-60853331509095095292017-04-25T09:49:00.000-07:002017-04-25T09:50:11.334-07:00Design time........Working with a few clients to brighten up and change their homes from what they have enjoyed in the past to lightening up and rearranging and changing for their future....I am so blessed to be able to do so.......<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vz6U1l-dFK4/WP96FfT96mI/AAAAAAAACdg/7NmGi5_ITvUaVKvWyPlP4uE6b2j-PBUtQCLcB/s1600/maryruth8%255B3%255D.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vz6U1l-dFK4/WP96FfT96mI/AAAAAAAACdg/7NmGi5_ITvUaVKvWyPlP4uE6b2j-PBUtQCLcB/s640/maryruth8%255B3%255D.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
Bedding is hard to find these days....I have been looking for myself and yet my clients find the same thing as I am finding....the "classics" aren't available or I just cant find them........regardless....I LOVE this bedding...along with my one client as well....isn't is beautifully simple and of warmth?<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-StQ8BPQvbB8/WP97FkbOdQI/AAAAAAAACdo/CUrSjFKoWQMEoG29lQVTlKE0p4Lx8J-twCLcB/s1600/il_570xN.975946130_tc5h.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-StQ8BPQvbB8/WP97FkbOdQI/AAAAAAAACdo/CUrSjFKoWQMEoG29lQVTlKE0p4Lx8J-twCLcB/s640/il_570xN.975946130_tc5h.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
Benches seem to be eluding me as well. I have two clients looking...but alas....I have not found anything close to this as of yet! I LOVE this bench....the striped seat...I'd just paint it black but its painting is done fabulously!.....Is that even a word?....LOL<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-SpirqYQ8cG8/WP98Cb8u8OI/AAAAAAAACdw/ElC-XKruq4Q7StxsOiRZvusqVWzCo7_jQCLcB/s1600/bc8ad14a98810c8fa2fb3f1d2aa50cba.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-SpirqYQ8cG8/WP98Cb8u8OI/AAAAAAAACdw/ElC-XKruq4Q7StxsOiRZvusqVWzCo7_jQCLcB/s640/bc8ad14a98810c8fa2fb3f1d2aa50cba.jpg" width="600" /></a></div>
Then this elusive "desk/table" I have been searching for everywhere....I do love when a client bring me a photo and says I want this.....its a treasure to find it and an opportunity to seek out where it might be.....so far....strike three!....But that's sometimes the fun of it all.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-igVoM-FY8HA/WP98wQkz7bI/AAAAAAAACd4/xWD7IYgrklEa5yRR9m9OPf7Exo88R5uXQCLcB/s1600/bdb49e1917cb18525d6071b8d156bfd9.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-igVoM-FY8HA/WP98wQkz7bI/AAAAAAAACd4/xWD7IYgrklEa5yRR9m9OPf7Exo88R5uXQCLcB/s640/bdb49e1917cb18525d6071b8d156bfd9.jpg" width="508" /></a></div>
<br />
I will be framing this.....along with several others that I purchased recently....and am so glad to find them all. As you know I love antique bid prints .....I have them all over my home....unfortunately....this one is going to a client...but they will LOVE it!<br />
<br />
So here in Beautiful Boise is what I have been doing......searching, hunting and finding some things worthy of time and patience......<br />
<br />
I hope regardless of what you are doing today.....you find time to breathe in all around you and feel warmth and comfort from your surroundings......enjoy your day everyone......Jannhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16987426986739934729noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8754861876694380856.post-44861275959699336142017-03-03T14:17:00.001-08:002017-03-03T14:22:39.827-08:00Finally...........Received my "other" chair from the Upholster today! Thrilled to have it done.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-bpGEBVDd920/WLnpHjFtq7I/AAAAAAAACcw/wIgaoS-ulAk5GGhZhXvWpVHpCHSXwnvjQCLcB/s1600/nook%2B4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-bpGEBVDd920/WLnpHjFtq7I/AAAAAAAACcw/wIgaoS-ulAk5GGhZhXvWpVHpCHSXwnvjQCLcB/s640/nook%2B4.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This little baby was purchased quite some time ago at a second hand furniture store but nearly matched the other one I have exactly. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fG613DrXvPA/WLnpdLE8LqI/AAAAAAAACc0/qZ2bnDtoV_kYjaIwojcaMNfL23h55mlVACLcB/s1600/chair1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fG613DrXvPA/WLnpdLE8LqI/AAAAAAAACc0/qZ2bnDtoV_kYjaIwojcaMNfL23h55mlVACLcB/s640/chair1.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It was stained so I painted it black, but almost a "sheer" black so some of the woodgrain shows through. Then accented it slightly with gold.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-x1uXUj9fE1Y/WLnpxCGOFOI/AAAAAAAACc4/TsJV2LDHJDU2KiV3muKP2kk8ScX6HnPJgCLcB/s1600/nook1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-x1uXUj9fE1Y/WLnpxCGOFOI/AAAAAAAACc4/TsJV2LDHJDU2KiV3muKP2kk8ScX6HnPJgCLcB/s640/nook1.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
One chair is slightly larger than the other one but just in a very slight way.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_InAFOJPsro/WLnqGDje-SI/AAAAAAAACc8/8OyeKRNHks8XWvzmTg8nmnlsvjVG6InuwCLcB/s1600/nook3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_InAFOJPsro/WLnqGDje-SI/AAAAAAAACc8/8OyeKRNHks8XWvzmTg8nmnlsvjVG6InuwCLcB/s640/nook3.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I am so ready for spring!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-M4j0w7CtoN0/WLnqOtwJ31I/AAAAAAAACdA/371qJ1sZOLwTSYKG9BiuW939JYDtwNdPACLcB/s1600/nook4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-M4j0w7CtoN0/WLnqOtwJ31I/AAAAAAAACdA/371qJ1sZOLwTSYKG9BiuW939JYDtwNdPACLcB/s640/nook4.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
But then again so is everyone else! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So the only thing left to do is that little table. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5TS8lHw5cJw/WLnqhArIssI/AAAAAAAACdE/iN1OsG0gU3MwpYXj5j453VxVSLu8hJ5bACLcB/s1600/table1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5TS8lHw5cJw/WLnqhArIssI/AAAAAAAACdE/iN1OsG0gU3MwpYXj5j453VxVSLu8hJ5bACLcB/s640/table1.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Painting the base black and distressing will also be taking place and a fun, different design for the top!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-SN7qlYXAsXg/WLnqzH6x3oI/AAAAAAAACdI/HLqM_UNTYUoBA-ED-H-7LSFPu-NK6ulRQCLcB/s1600/nook.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-SN7qlYXAsXg/WLnqzH6x3oI/AAAAAAAACdI/HLqM_UNTYUoBA-ED-H-7LSFPu-NK6ulRQCLcB/s640/nook.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
But I have a friend visiting from AZ. next week so it will just have to wait!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hang in there.....it will get done soon!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Have a fabulous March day!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

Simple things of scraps and quotes.......I really enjoyed making them and hopefully the ladies will enjoy them.<br />
Have a wonderful Valentine's Day all........make something for someone you love and cherish.....or something that will bring a smile to one that excepts your efforts and talents as a gift of warmth. Women always should support and cherish each other....... It is what we do.......it is who we are.Jannhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16987426986739934729noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8754861876694380856.post-90076526126383050452016-12-21T15:49:00.000-08:002016-12-21T15:49:37.826-08:00Simple things.......sometimes make the prettiest impressions.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-bIKqg-ftQ9M/WFsTUVTRGRI/AAAAAAAACa8/5NYEd-RT57kx51KuYP__oRFvJJ-PdmE0ACLcB/s1600/8b0713c9c2d52bb63d541ac1d78af9b6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-bIKqg-ftQ9M/WFsTUVTRGRI/AAAAAAAACa8/5NYEd-RT57kx51KuYP__oRFvJJ-PdmE0ACLcB/s640/8b0713c9c2d52bb63d541ac1d78af9b6.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
They add flair and color with their simplicities.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cXFJrCZtBlE/WFsTjMLi1NI/AAAAAAAACbA/j2082wsFPnIMoxcelHWnd4OJ6jjmIxU6wCLcB/s1600/ad6650e3fd83a6604eb0bbfd2a3ca50c.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cXFJrCZtBlE/WFsTjMLi1NI/AAAAAAAACbA/j2082wsFPnIMoxcelHWnd4OJ6jjmIxU6wCLcB/s640/ad6650e3fd83a6604eb0bbfd2a3ca50c.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
Its so fun when you do with what you have to add flair and accent to your Holiday décor.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-NBmIdu6fr8A/WFsT6cInAJI/AAAAAAAACbE/nMWFA7io7kwGED2BGNidR3sICJKHEx0JwCLcB/s1600/e92a7e1db008195f49a4e20657de88ee.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-NBmIdu6fr8A/WFsT6cInAJI/AAAAAAAACbE/nMWFA7io7kwGED2BGNidR3sICJKHEx0JwCLcB/s1600/e92a7e1db008195f49a4e20657de88ee.jpg" /></a></div>
So when you think you need to search for the "perfect" thing to add to your holiday grace and beauty<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zhWQcBWJugA/WFsUbEJ6SAI/AAAAAAAACbM/2_v2j9tDF1oXKaIiyI5ReMiZRLkHwzkCACLcB/s1600/883174080dffeae42f2d1aea1c4c079d.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zhWQcBWJugA/WFsUbEJ6SAI/AAAAAAAACbM/2_v2j9tDF1oXKaIiyI5ReMiZRLkHwzkCACLcB/s1600/883174080dffeae42f2d1aea1c4c079d.jpg" /></a></div>
Think again and out of the box......that always makes your home special and your smile a bit brighter.<br />
Have a great holiday.......I hope for you 2017 is a great healthy and happy year.Jannhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16987426986739934729noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8754861876694380856.post-72996222100714414252016-12-09T12:05:00.000-08:002016-12-09T12:05:57.495-08:00Designing........is something I have always had my hand in.<br />
<br />
Sometimes its paper and glue, sometimes its wall paper and paint. Others its draperies and interiors and other times it furniture and carpet, tiles and flooring.<br />
<br />
Whatever or wherever it is......I am always lead back to design.<br />
<br />
I love the "Classics".....the "Tradional lines and Timeless" styles. <br />
Furniture, bedding, fabrics are usually expensive items for your home and whether or not your styles change throughout your lifetime......which for many of us it does.....keeping the pieces that you love and cherish....are important to we with sentimental hearts.<br />
<br />
But sometimes....well I should say many times....(winking) ....I have come across a piece that is totally not mean for what it ends up to be and it THRILLS me to see someone's ingenuity and imagination take off and run wild with something no one else would think of.<br />
<br />
These is not my design....but I have a client that has an old sewing machine table her Grammy gave her and she recently passed away. She asked me to please come up with something that would honor her Grandmother and yet not just be "a display piece" for her item. <br />
<br />
THIS IS FABULOUS!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-9ahIPtGQmms/WEsLAPBLaPI/AAAAAAAACaM/KRjIFLiM6n8tykMmvYDoQtg937KtOlxJwCLcB/s1600/15284093_1380571885310716_3772791233120360148_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-9ahIPtGQmms/WEsLAPBLaPI/AAAAAAAACaM/KRjIFLiM6n8tykMmvYDoQtg937KtOlxJwCLcB/s640/15284093_1380571885310716_3772791233120360148_n.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
She has a powder room that this would be such a functional piece in and surely make her Grammy giggle! I have already talked to my "woodman" about making this and ordered the wood to match the front and drawers. I ordered a sink for her today and I will pick her a faucet this next week.<br />
<br />
Isn't this just the sweetest way to remember a Grammy who gave her a ton of quilts and sewed them all on this old treadle Singer machine? I have NO idea who designed this....but whomever it may be....I thank you from the bottom of my heart. It is perfect for my sweet client who remembers living with her Grammy and growing up snuggled under a warm and inviting quilt.<br />
<br />Jannhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16987426986739934729noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8754861876694380856.post-39864147853132857742016-11-26T19:35:00.000-08:002016-11-26T19:35:37.830-08:00Collecting.......something special and memorable has always been something I have enjoyed. Time has changed my tastes some from time to time but I have always enjoyed collecting things that made my heart sigh with a sweet remembrance of where and when it was collected, purchased and brought into my home.<br />
<br />
<br />
My Mother thought I should collect these. I think she always secretly wanted them for herself but as few things between us, she started these as a tradition and for a few years gave me one every Christmas. I think its a one and only memory of something we both enjoyed. <br />
<br />
She started out be giving me the cottage. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Jv3_l4IMICU/WDpK3vHjmKI/AAAAAAAACZU/l8570F-smnUKQ_8FLpxAB2hub7sKqeVJACLcB/s1600/village%2B7.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Jv3_l4IMICU/WDpK3vHjmKI/AAAAAAAACZU/l8570F-smnUKQ_8FLpxAB2hub7sKqeVJACLcB/s640/village%2B7.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It, as well as the others I have, were the only villages that were "antiqued" with muted colors. They are very pretty with very warm and soothing colors. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zz1J84YzAVk/WDpLT-0qsSI/AAAAAAAACZY/en7mwYYK7Bc7mXuua9hF2K8U3bGE7W7pwCLcB/s1600/village%2B5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zz1J84YzAVk/WDpLT-0qsSI/AAAAAAAACZY/en7mwYYK7Bc7mXuua9hF2K8U3bGE7W7pwCLcB/s640/village%2B5.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Then in the next three years she added the church, the pinkish Victorian home on the right and the Grand Ole Opry....as I loved and still do love, Country music. I was shocked when she kept adding to this collection but very pleased that she wanted to. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/--ovDRv2jpeA/WDpL99D5R7I/AAAAAAAACZc/-sLP5U4dbsoM-Ve9glQBZnRUyoblEtQ7QCLcB/s1600/village%2B9.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/--ovDRv2jpeA/WDpL99D5R7I/AAAAAAAACZc/-sLP5U4dbsoM-Ve9glQBZnRUyoblEtQ7QCLcB/s640/village%2B9.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
The Post Office was the next to the last one she bought me. She liked the brick....and thought it added a cheery place to our collection of villages....and always reminded her of how she hated to wait in line to mail anything....LOL<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-jaT6PwgvSD4/WDpMUzsKXXI/AAAAAAAACZg/u09TaA0B6pIWw9v_GENXQAdRtFKwOYVigCLcB/s1600/villagge%2B2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-jaT6PwgvSD4/WDpMUzsKXXI/AAAAAAAACZg/u09TaA0B6pIWw9v_GENXQAdRtFKwOYVigCLcB/s640/villagge%2B2.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
The last one she gave me was the Antique Shoppe. She knew I loved and collected many antiques throughout the years and she thought that this one was so appropriate for my collection.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-O5S5YwFEAq8/WDpM_e47RTI/AAAAAAAACZk/qXk-vxSi99wU55hG9arEL5pUkvd5L3CEACLcB/s1600/village%2B3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-O5S5YwFEAq8/WDpM_e47RTI/AAAAAAAACZk/qXk-vxSi99wU55hG9arEL5pUkvd5L3CEACLcB/s640/village%2B3.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
One of the last ones I added to my collection was the Mill. It was done is such great colors and I love how quaint it looks.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-FkUo7_Wmf9s/WDpNSTBx2JI/AAAAAAAACZo/ObIp8yQlrHQ-yHJwn6CYeVCXARDWi0THACLcB/s1600/village%2B4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-FkUo7_Wmf9s/WDpNSTBx2JI/AAAAAAAACZo/ObIp8yQlrHQ-yHJwn6CYeVCXARDWi0THACLcB/s640/village%2B4.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
The also added the Victorian house. I love the front porch and the muted colors but most of all I added this the second year my daughter was with me. She was to young to know it....but it was something I cherished as we had a very Victorian home and it was decked to the max for Christmas every year. Our staircase was draped in garlands and glitz. We had a Victorian tree in the front room and a big eclectic tree in our family room. And these Villages were always gathered and displayed on our hutch in the dining room. That was almost 27 years ago.<br />
<br />
So finally after 6 years of being packed and stored they have arrived once again to give us warmth and memories of when they were given to me each year and I added to them five years after that. They are called "Colonial Villages" and after the last one I purchased they made them in garish colors and tones that I just could not get used to. Thus the 10 I have will be the last of them collected.<br />
<br />
I am hoping when I turn them over to my Daughter.....she enjoys them as much as I have and they will adorn her home as they have mine. Inside each home or building there is a note on when it was purchased or given and the "deed" as well. I'll keep adding a few things, trees, fencing and Tom found a tiny car with a tree on the top and its darling with everything. <br />
<br />
I cherish my little Villages......and am so pleased we finally have them out for this Christmas. Each one brings a memory and warmth.<br />
<br />

<br />
They were so much fun to go with.....reminding me of all the past Halloween fun that I had with my baby girl. (Who by the way is now the mother of these two twin four year olds!)<br />
<br />
She <span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span>made her son a darl<span style="font-size: large;"></span>ing......"Lightening McQueen" car...and he LOVED it!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-miefJfysgm0/WDYBGeurZ1I/AAAAAAAACYU/u7urKkfmsGUC4T-0Yrlb85-ySzOqViByACLcB/s1600/halloween%2B2016%2B4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-miefJfysgm0/WDYBGeurZ1I/AAAAAAAACYU/u7urKkfmsGUC4T-0Yrlb85-ySzOqViByACLcB/s640/halloween%2B2016%2B4.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
And her "Mee Mow" baby girl was darling in those "Over-sized" Minnie Mouse ears and bow!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1YOzLbB3VWM/WDYBeuHMFmI/AAAAAAAACYY/a65455rsaCktIJC_EAgk5FmTusEzFKgtgCLcB/s1600/halloween%2B2016%2B3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1YOzLbB3VWM/WDYBeuHMFmI/AAAAAAAACYY/a65455rsaCktIJC_EAgk5FmTusEzFKgtgCLcB/s640/halloween%2B2016%2B3.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
And besides having a great time with these two little sweeties of mine....I got to do some very fun layouts for their albums. Just for them to remember big ears and a tutu....and a cardboard car can really make a night of gathering candy.....oh so fun!<br />
<br />

Well its nothing fancy or color coordinated.....I know this girl who has a beautiful scrap room....she even covered her OttLite and her Fiskers Cutter to match her room.....talk about way over my head....LOL....I just shove in storage where it will fit and hope to get as much as I can in my room.<br />
So here it is friends......just nearly done....took some very good suggestions from Donna and Debbie in AZ.....some from Calley McClifford who has a room that I am in awe of......she lives in Iowa.....and a lot of looking at various rooms on YouTube and Pinterest.....by the way....what ever did we do without Pinterest?.....That is the best site EVAH!.....LOL<br />
<br />
My cart from Ikea is stuffed......I have two.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WMkiZwF9OsY/V8YKb7rAPMI/AAAAAAAACW0/opoFVCx92RAel4FEVQyiPcfQFwJyhzhJwCLcB/s1600/22.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WMkiZwF9OsY/V8YKb7rAPMI/AAAAAAAACW0/opoFVCx92RAel4FEVQyiPcfQFwJyhzhJwCLcB/s640/22.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I have a total of two (16) Kallax Units from Ikea as well. They hold so much and are easily set up. I was a bit bummed that they would not hold the Iris 12x12 cases in their openings. I also purchased one single 4 unit for the top of one of the larger units. Wish I had done that to both.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
But on the other Kallax I have put those 12x12 individual boxes we all see and have from Michael's and they hold my paper packs and black card stock.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8U8weZLRHb4/V8YLNba5hYI/AAAAAAAACW4/OOuhNLopNto-bQRxfFRZhSWh_zX9OsDJgCLcB/s1600/99.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8U8weZLRHb4/V8YLNba5hYI/AAAAAAAACW4/OOuhNLopNto-bQRxfFRZhSWh_zX9OsDJgCLcB/s640/99.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I keep some of this for overflow and storage boxes soon to be full of whatever I need them for.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ok2D3UCBTXQ/V8YLcg8rM-I/AAAAAAAACW8/vlIqYrJk8HsiqLFuqYkocGeb55zhZZ8ogCLcB/s1600/11.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ok2D3UCBTXQ/V8YLcg8rM-I/AAAAAAAACW8/vlIqYrJk8HsiqLFuqYkocGeb55zhZZ8ogCLcB/s640/11.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I have 2 of the Alex Drawer units from Ikea. They are FABULOUS! I love them. ones to my left and easily accessable with everyday items I need. The other drawer unit is to my right at the end of my desk giving me added space and a place where little Mr. B. can be very close and sleeping. He's a hogglet when it comes to his "area!"....LOL So this offers him a good, stable place to sleep if hes not into sleeping by the window. I fill the drawers with circle cutters and stamping things such as my Misty and the supplies for my ScannCut.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cEtEk1Cwpj8/V8YMpNNWcQI/AAAAAAAACXA/615BYc4BbcsLgpBj2x8xdIJEN91k81LDgCLcB/s1600/33.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cEtEk1Cwpj8/V8YMpNNWcQI/AAAAAAAACXA/615BYc4BbcsLgpBj2x8xdIJEN91k81LDgCLcB/s640/33.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
These two roller carts hold all my clear stamps. I sorted and labeled them and when I need to move them I simply roll them to another position in my room. Behind that is a small closet filled to the brim with all kinds of see through containers labeled and easily searched through if need be.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-y3hikM_fUrE/V8YNEZHSiwI/AAAAAAAACXE/W8tcbxGB6-M8JGNDoRHDU7lzDAfaCKxKACLcB/s1600/55.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-y3hikM_fUrE/V8YNEZHSiwI/AAAAAAAACXE/W8tcbxGB6-M8JGNDoRHDU7lzDAfaCKxKACLcB/s640/55.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This little white cabinet holds a BUNCH of 12x12's! I use this for al my class projects and completed kits that I sell. It also holds my TV as you can see which is directly across my desk.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-MBzP5TXj4JY/V8YNfRyKYbI/AAAAAAAACXI/XayKQW8ScNMlvpI69cJBy1gm_jfFN6JoACLcB/s1600/77.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-MBzP5TXj4JY/V8YNfRyKYbI/AAAAAAAACXI/XayKQW8ScNMlvpI69cJBy1gm_jfFN6JoACLcB/s640/77.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This wire rack was a great purchase for another home. It takes up a bit to much space but I keep baskets of punches all sorted and labeled and its very easy access for me to get into. I also have two big metal drawers on the bottom that hold all my steel rule dies. The chair for a guest slides right into that spot and is always there and out of the way for anyone who wants to come and play for the day!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-LB56hbpOFnk/V8YOCK3seDI/AAAAAAAACXU/Mam11tsbMccmqFWsG4ysyLM5rcjsHI9IgCLcB/s1600/10.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-LB56hbpOFnk/V8YOCK3seDI/AAAAAAAACXU/Mam11tsbMccmqFWsG4ysyLM5rcjsHI9IgCLcB/s640/10.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
And then there's the "towers"....I LOVE THESE! I have five, three high units in my room. These fit perfect right between the wire rack with the punches and the door. They hold SOOO much!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-VSdppPWd-dw/V8YOZao9WuI/AAAAAAAACXY/NYlV6DXxvkIvguaydwzDv2KA42AK_WTPwCLcB/s1600/66.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-VSdppPWd-dw/V8YOZao9WuI/AAAAAAAACXY/NYlV6DXxvkIvguaydwzDv2KA42AK_WTPwCLcB/s640/66.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Then I have two next to my Kallax for storage as well. These hold my card stock all sorted and labeled in colors and as you can see I have extra 12x12's on top ready to be used as well. Donna told me about these "towers" and I LOVE THEM!!!!! They hold so much for me and are so easily stacked and filled and sturdy. They come with wheels as an option as well but I opted to stack mine for storage.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5ulcutmqXMg/V8YPDUgROeI/AAAAAAAACXc/NZiFL5ZxfNQrMzaIWZAJft-QeHOHmEEGQCLcB/s1600/88.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5ulcutmqXMg/V8YPDUgROeI/AAAAAAAACXc/NZiFL5ZxfNQrMzaIWZAJft-QeHOHmEEGQCLcB/s640/88.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My room is not big at all. Not near the size I have been use to but it functions very well and I do have ample storage and things are right near me....I just turn my chair around and grab what I need. Everything I use quickly and daily is right behind me or to the left or to the right. Its easy and works out well. I have an "L" shaped desk also from Ikea....and it is a great size, easy to sit up to and I have a great Eber Chair purchased from Office Depot that adjusts easily up and down so when I am finished up for the day and want it out of the way....I simply "adjust" it to a size that scoots underneath my desk....its really oober comfortable and well worth the money.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Like I said it is definately not fancy and I wish I had more space to make it a bit more colorful and add some décor in some places....and maybe when I get time I will shift things around a bit.....but for right now kids....this is it. This is where I come to relax and enjoy creating anything and everything. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hope this gives you some ideas! I think we all own stock in Ikea. Good thing its miles and miles from me.....LOL</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Thanks for stopping by my room....enjoy your day! </div>

We made a list for the year and we trade one every month.....and I find I am anxiously doing one right after another. I truly LOVE doing them.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Lrqc2pq9Cns/V8X5BpbDOYI/AAAAAAAACVw/sLL56Pg_zgEYlRuiQ7nUQo3r_i4cpkShACLcB/s1600/we%2Bthree.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Lrqc2pq9Cns/V8X5BpbDOYI/AAAAAAAACVw/sLL56Pg_zgEYlRuiQ7nUQo3r_i4cpkShACLcB/s640/we%2Bthree.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
As I truly love this woman as well. She and I are like paper and glue....meant to be and holding together for a lifetime! How lucky I was to have her warmth and hugs throughout last year and this one. She is a lovely soul....split-a-part from mine.....it's like I have known her all my life, been waiting to meet her all my life.....and when I needed warmth the most...she swooped in and gave me a hug that I shall never, ever forget. She's a Godsend....and I love her so......a friend for life and beyond.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

This is one of the Pocket Letters I did for her. Time was our theme.....and it was sooooooo much fun to create this for her.<br />

So....with all of that goes so much fun and happy times making something that will make her smile and having so much fun creating. We embellish and bobble...we glue, crackle and paint....we glossy accent and stamp and distress. Then we add more and more until our creations are mailed off monthly and within days....what was on my desk and comes from my hands and heart....are on hers. We FT when we open them...or unless one of us just cant wait...(wink)...and see the other's face. She does the same for me and I am delighted by her talents and designs that are made just for me. So far we have done six.....so we'll go for six more to finish off the year.<br />
Here is the time Pocket Letter she created for me. She's not been scrapping for very long and is so talented and so particular and precise when it comes to her designs. She's a great designer....here mini's are to die for!<br />

Layouts for my sweet grandbabies......just focusing on using bright, primary colors for some simple layouts.......always making two for my Daugther's sweet twin babies.....who are growing fast!<br />

<br />
I bought these for a fabulous price....they were painted Aqua Blue but their style and their carvings just shined through that Aqua paint and I knew they'd be fabulous with my Buffalo checked cream and black small wingback chairs! I painted them with Annie Slone paint and waxed them with clear and dark wax from A.S. as well....I love her products....no priming, no sanding....her paints are wonderful!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yK1eUpeB65c/V8XwsUk58gI/AAAAAAAACVU/-nib-vh5Ow0so6qNU9FnEI9ugosqwE__wCLcB/s640/3.jpg" width="480" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The Brickman helped me with these and I am sooooo glad that they are done!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-5X_ocMMsjyk/V8Xw-4vPi3I/AAAAAAAACVY/9HLGLurHiZwQWTC9hPECQuFSVvMLsWStQCLcB/s1600/FullSizeRender.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-5X_ocMMsjyk/V8Xw-4vPi3I/AAAAAAAACVY/9HLGLurHiZwQWTC9hPECQuFSVvMLsWStQCLcB/s640/FullSizeRender.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I'm tickled they are finished.....they look super good and one more project off my list. These chairs have been recovered three times and I love the smaller stature of them. I used them in three homes.......I think this will be the last time they get redone.....but......don't hold your breath!.....LOLOL</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hope you're finishing up something that you have wanted to finish for a long time.....it always feels so good to get them done...and.....summer is nearing it's end and fall will be upon us soon.....my FAVORITE time of the year.....! Thanks for stopping by.</div>

<br />
Today I have just been playing in my room and catching up on some layouts.....hubbies outside tending to the yard and gardens so I just played.....and had a great day designing some simple but colorful layouts.<br />
<br />
I love using scraps and fun photos, adding fun features such as paint dots, metal brads, punched circles, twine and rubons. Anything and everything....some days....that just works out best!<br />
<br />
Thanks for stopping by.......enjoy your time and share a smile.....better yet....give someone a hug with warmth.....I sure miss my AZ friends and their hugs today......:o)<br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-yme0x2diNMc/VyOgyTb9k4I/AAAAAAAACTQ/T3q89iGCcCkr1tXTuOsbUQ7FyVT4jGk0gCLcB/s1600/il_570xN_895542586_hlqs.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="560" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-yme0x2diNMc/VyOgyTb9k4I/AAAAAAAACTQ/T3q89iGCcCkr1tXTuOsbUQ7FyVT4jGk0gCLcB/s640/il_570xN_895542586_hlqs.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
This one is heaven in its shape and size....guess what...they wont ship! (thank goodness it was WAY out of my price range)<br />
<br />
So to continue....I looked on line for-ever....LOL And found this beauty.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-a3QiSAi5--0/VyOukpN0bII/AAAAAAAACTg/0b-Q9CP7nDkuClcu5HGgnqRBSYZaT2riQCLcB/s1600/a37747c99414524d2a3254954cd9b164.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-a3QiSAi5--0/VyOukpN0bII/AAAAAAAACTg/0b-Q9CP7nDkuClcu5HGgnqRBSYZaT2riQCLcB/s640/a37747c99414524d2a3254954cd9b164.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Guess what....they wont ship either....road trip to New England? Um....notta.<br />
<br />
So I came upon this one on Ebay.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-p0nXFuAo2Yw/VyOu7bO43AI/AAAAAAAACTk/mdxNXk-eMyUOQgC9QbRdVBVu8Kt5VVQewCLcB/s1600/ed73a44d0ad0f60151a3a6b622aafd71.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-p0nXFuAo2Yw/VyOu7bO43AI/AAAAAAAACTk/mdxNXk-eMyUOQgC9QbRdVBVu8Kt5VVQewCLcB/s640/ed73a44d0ad0f60151a3a6b622aafd71.jpg" width="478" /></a></div>
Nupe...you guessed it...notta on the shipping...but they will hold it for me for two weeks if I want to come get it somewhere around Massachusetts I think.<br />
<br />
So....drooling over the next one.....it even has an "S" on it.....they didn't really want to sell this .....just wanted to show off the monogram...and I cant blame them, its very nice.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3DfBn-bA8Ao/VyOvc_DwFTI/AAAAAAAACTs/jGozra5W3ws_VAaAagwRJK-0R4XqAM7-ACLcB/s1600/aec084dc7b9ce9e7738dd9026f2cc801.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3DfBn-bA8Ao/VyOvc_DwFTI/AAAAAAAACTs/jGozra5W3ws_VAaAagwRJK-0R4XqAM7-ACLcB/s640/aec084dc7b9ce9e7738dd9026f2cc801.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
So I am back to the hunt.....trying to find a bed frame that won't look like a bed frame once repurposed to a bench to adore my nook area. And oh by the way....I would totally love this one....all together now........."they wont ship." <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-2jGnAxnb36o/VyOwWcjf3qI/AAAAAAAACT8/57fz_dF1DJMOviK1wRztI-4CAuu1CMY8wCLcB/s1600/45c2b4f0470db05193f636fc13cfebf8.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-2jGnAxnb36o/VyOwWcjf3qI/AAAAAAAACT8/57fz_dF1DJMOviK1wRztI-4CAuu1CMY8wCLcB/s640/45c2b4f0470db05193f636fc13cfebf8.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
Have a wonderful weekend doing whatever you choose to do. Smile often, laugh a little and tell someone you know...I am looking for a bench...LOL I'll thank you in advance!<br />

<br />Jannhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16987426986739934729noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8754861876694380856.post-77841872991528596562016-03-28T20:58:00.001-07:002016-03-28T20:58:29.918-07:00I love mixed media!!!!It's fun and simple and goes together sooooo easy.<br />
<br />
Here's a new one with paste, paint and stamping. The layers are fun and add so much depth.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-31yySpenjvk/Vvn6AOA-i7I/AAAAAAAACSw/HFV9SQcMs-4FNB38-IjXabl-kYjI-7fDw/s1600/4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-31yySpenjvk/Vvn6AOA-i7I/AAAAAAAACSw/HFV9SQcMs-4FNB38-IjXabl-kYjI-7fDw/s640/4.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
I love using paste and stencils. I got the recipe to make my own from my friend Donna Ward who is a whiz at using paste.....she inspired me and away I went!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-jPBJmMHomac/Vvn6Eyb7uyI/AAAAAAAACS0/xXAvmxJV4rMMmYTUNUuyRbBIvYmU3TsZQ/s1600/6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-jPBJmMHomac/Vvn6Eyb7uyI/AAAAAAAACS0/xXAvmxJV4rMMmYTUNUuyRbBIvYmU3TsZQ/s640/6.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
Here's a closer view. It's feathers and I loved it here. I am impatient when it comes to dry time! You have to be a bit more patient than I am.....I hit this with my heat gun but you have to be very careful of it as it can burn quite easily. I love the depth....the texture it gives a layout.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-MFgCw4kVM7U/Vvn6G5Tx6UI/AAAAAAAACS4/nUGd6U7IPjMFEG1keJCV0kIap097bfO5Q/s1600/7.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-MFgCw4kVM7U/Vvn6G5Tx6UI/AAAAAAAACS4/nUGd6U7IPjMFEG1keJCV0kIap097bfO5Q/s640/7.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
A bit more paste and some flowers and leaves. These flowers are so simple to make. Takes no time at all to do and you can always custom them to match your layouts. These are punched and just layered....6 or 7 layers, distressed and have beaded centers. The leaves are die cuts.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3I_tl98qkBA/Vvn6JiHumnI/AAAAAAAACS8/mRMaVGvpRJs-w25lIiB2Ut75kMXWNk_pw/s1600/8.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3I_tl98qkBA/Vvn6JiHumnI/AAAAAAAACS8/mRMaVGvpRJs-w25lIiB2Ut75kMXWNk_pw/s640/8.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hope your Monday has been a great one and you have created something you will love and cherish. Make memories.......thanks for stopping by.</div>

<br />
So doing much is not been on the menu this week but I have been doing a bit more and designing more. Simple things seem to mean a lot these days.....talking to my "split-a-part" on a daily basis seems to lighten my load and give me great joy. She's great at that...I thank God most everyday for bringing someone so special into my life......but I have many friends that I get great joy just simply hanging with or going to lunch with.....shopping....although dragging this 7 pound cast around doesn't really allow me to much fun and frolicking ......and frolicking is always fun......LOL<br />
<br />
I have been doing a lot of internet searching.....purchased a few..."cant wait to get them" items for new deigns and have been waiting for my "bold and beautiful" draperies to get finished and hung....which happened today!!!!!<br />

Not the greatest of photos but you'll get the grand idea....they need to hang a bit and straighten out but give them a week and they'll be "seated" and be fabulous! I have always loved big checks and these blend with everything in my home. Now for the front room and they'll be done! Monday!!!!<br />
I need to paint the table that I have had for three years black....and the chair....which I finally managed to get umpteen bazillion nail heads out of...seriously...it took me nearly three days. But it will get painted the same as other one is and reupholstered with the striped fabric. All we be well and settled and I'll have time to start another project....LOL<br />
<br />
I am still in awe of a blog called "Addicted 2 Decorating." she is amazing and does the coolest and most detailed DIY projects I have EVER seen. Check her out if you get a chance.....you'll LOVE her. I wish I could do a tenth of what she does, but then again she is much younger and supports no cast....LOL<br />
<br />
Anyway peeps....thank you for hanging in with me and checking my blog frequently. I appreciate your kindness and feed back and hope the spring is bringing you warmth, smiles and above all else....peace. See you again soon........Jannhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16987426986739934729noreply@blogger.com0
